Editor's Field Notes ~ August 2007 Edition:
‘Feedback’ is a theme carried throughout this month’s installment of
AdventureTravelNews™. ATTA’s partnership with Conservation
International, in particular, warrants special attention from the
field. I encourage you to contribute your thoughts to three special
sustainable practice resources for the adventure travel community
worldwide.
Below is an open call for
Op-Ed pieces from adventure travel industry professionals. In ATTA
Regional Meetings held in Seattle, Denver, San Francisco and Salt Lake
City earlier this month, the ATTA received incredible feedback from the
industry, plus calls to address challenging industry issues. I urge each of you to
consider contributing Op-Ed pieces on such subject matters for AdventureTravelNews
consideration. Controversial Op-Eds are fine, just be sure to include
recommended solutions to challenges you pose and or issues that you
believe must be addressed. And, to lighten it up, know that there’s
also an open call for humorous photos from the field – I’m running out
of options, and need your assistance!
Don’t forget, the carbon neutral
(thanks to our partnership with Sustainable Travel International,
Virtuoso, VAST and National Geographic Adventure magazine) 2007
Adventure Travel World Summit is just around the corner – October 4-7 in
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. I hope to see you there!
Yes, there’s a great deal more
inside. So, I’ll step aside so that you can get started!
In the spirit of adventure,

Chris Doyle
Editor, AdventureTravelNews™
