ATTA Initiatives Spur Membership Growth
Between April and December 2004, the ATTA, under its new leadership, restricted new membership development while it retooled and restructured the industry’s trade association. In fact, the ATTA did not accept any new members. Starting in January 2005 when it re-launched, the ATTA opened up membership the organization with a host of new benefits that provided tangible value to its membership. Since then, the ATTA has experience renewed interest from influential companies (representing tourism boards, tour operators, trade associations, outdoor gear manufacturers, media and a host of other adventure travel related businesses) in the adventure travel space. Here’s a short-list of new ATTA Member sign-ups (combining for a total of more than 325 ATTA Members) from the past few months:
