For
more than 27 years, International Expeditions has been a pioneer in
ecotourism and conservation-focused travel — inviting exploration of
Earth’s greatest natural and cultural destinations. You can be sure
that, with International Expeditions, your journey will be interesting,
enriching, fun and exciting. Aboard small-ship voyages to the Amazon,
Galapagos and Antarctica and on unique land journeys to the wonders of
Belize, Brazil’s Pantanal, Costa Rica and Panama our guests are joined
by English-speaking naturalist guides whose passion and unparalleled
insight into the region’s natural and cultural heritage will enrich
every departure. We also offer opportunities to explore the fascinating
cultures of West Africa, Papua New Guinea, India and Egypt, along with
remarkable African adventures to Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Southern
Africa. These innovative and award-winning programs are continuously
refined to create a memorable and inspiring experience for travelers.
Along the way, guests stay in top-rate accommodations and are well
looked after everywhere they go.
International Expeditions is dedicated to preserving the natural habitats of the places we serve, and to improving the welfare of the people and communities who live in these areas. We are committed to a set of environmental ethics, and strive to thoroughly understand each place we go in order to minimize our impact on it.
Since our inception, International Expeditions has joined in many efforts to conserve resources. For example, in 1990 we organized the First International Rainforest Workshop in the Amazon, raising funds for a research center and the Canopy Walkway System. In Belize, we provided major support for the fledgling Belize Zoo, now a symbol of the benefits of working together in wildlife education and ecotourism. We are also a founding member of the International Galapagos Tour Operators Association, which protects the fragile and fascinating reserves of the Galapagos, and have raised many thousands of dollars to help the work of the Galapagos Conservancy. IE is a corporate sponsor of the East African Wild Life Society. Founded in 1956, the Society’s mission is to promote the conservation and use of East Africa’s wildlife and environment. The list goes on and on, with many more projects and many more opportunities in store.
As the World Leader in Nature Travel, International Expeditions has maintained a proud heritage of delivering incredible experiences and in-depth education to our guests, while continuing to be an innovator in ecotourism.
