As a leader in the volunteer travel industry, Global Vision
International runs critical conservation and humanitarian projects in
over 30 countries around the world, working locally to promote
sustainable development through environment research, conservation and
education. Highlights include a Research and Exploration Expedition in
Patagonia, working with indigenous communities in Central and South
America, participating in a Rainforest Conservation and Community
Development
Expedition in Ecuador, Marine Conservation in the Seychelles, teaching
Buddhist monks in Laos, and monitoring humpback whale activity in
Brazil, among others.
With over 150 field staff and 12 regional offices around the world, GVI works to ensure that all projects are fully researched and supported, while providing on the ground support for volunteers’ safety and enjoyment. We maintain strict systems and procedures for the introduction of new project partners, expeditions, and the day-to-day care of volunteers in the field.
GVI partners include some of the most leading and prominent conservation and community development organizations in the world including Rainforest Concern, The Jane Goodall Institute, and South African National Parks. GVI prides itself in working with local partners; all research rights stay in the field and we work to ensure that GVI volunteers contribute to the needs of our partners through research, teaching, and/or conservation efforts.
GVI looks forward to working with ATTA members in highlighting volunteer travel opportunities abroad for students, families, those on a career break, or retirees looking for a change!
