Networking has been a major highlight for delegates of the annual Adventure Travel World Summit. To complement the fun and relaxed networking environment of the Day of Adventure, the goal of the AFAR Exchange is to facilitate business relationships specifically between Suppliers (high quality inbound tour operators) and Buyers (outbound tour operators, wholesalers, and specialty travel agents).

The design is quality over quantity, and is largely shaped from feedback from 2009 Summit delegates. An effective day will consist of 15 pre-scheduled meetings, each lasting 17 minutes, which is enough time for meaningful interaction and conducive for sampling a wide array of tour product in the AFAR Exchange.

Being held on Tuesday, Oct 5th from 8:45am – 5:15pm in the bright and spacious restaurant of the Hotel, the AFAR Exchange will feature 75 inbound tour operators, accommodations and destinations from around the world, organized by region. Admire majestic mountain views from this comfortable venue dedicated to the AFAR Exchange, ideal for introductions, learning about new opportunities and engaging in product development discussions. Media in the AFAR Exchange
New for 2010, one hour of the Marketplace will be dedicated to impromptu meetings between Suppliers and Media. This special opportunity from 7:45am – 8:45am on Oct 5th, will give Suppliers valuable one-on-one time with journalists before pre-scheduled meetings with Buyers.

Booking Appointments

The only way to schedule meetings in the AFAR Exchange is to complete the Appointment Request Form during the appointment request window: Aug 23 – Sept 10, 2010.

Starting August 23, AFAR Exchange participants will have access to Appointment Request forms along with Supplier and Buyer Directories on Summit Connections. If you do not receive access to the forms on the above date, please contact info@adventuretravel.biz immediately.
