China Tourism Offers July 31-August 9, 2005, FAM to U.S. Tour Operators – Deadline Approaching!

Zhongkun U.S. Inc., along with the China National Tourist Office, has just announced the opportunity for U.S. tour operators to explore the beauty of south Xinjiang in southwestern China. With its rich tourist resources, Xinjiang is well-known for its wonderful sceneries and diverse climates. The original geographical scene of nature remains completely. Snow-capped mountains, hot desert and oases coexist, along with the immense plateau, local peoples, and the transnational mysterious border, all of which provides “…the experience of facing not only the sweetness of the nature of ‘the Jiangnan (South China) beyond the Great Wall,’ but also the forceful daring of ‘the straight smoke in the desert.’ The most famous scenes are Pamir plateau, Three Celestial Hole, the Id Kah Mosque and Fragrant Imperial Concubine Tomb, and more."

The ATTA is supporting Zhongkun and its effort to bring 15 U.S. tour operators (travel agents specializing in adventure travel may be considered; ATTA representatives may also join the trip) in the field of adventure travel to explore remote regions of China. On this FAM, you’ll join Peter Gao, CEO of Zhongkun U.S. Inc., along with the China National Tourist Office.

Zhongkun Group in Beijing has developed specific tourist sites and infrastructure in Xinjiang and is now handling adventure travel in the region. The group will stay in Beijing for one night and then fly to Xinjiang for the rest of the trip. Visit http://www.zhongkun.com.cn/english/tour/xinjiang.htm for more information on the region.

*The cost within China will be by borne by Zhongkun Group. Participants need to arrange their international flights on their own and at their own costs.
