Luis Vargas

President & Chief Brand Officer - The Clymb

Luis Vargas combines his passion for extraordinary customer experiences and growth with disciplined, digital-focused business acumen to deliver world-class results for leading brands such as The Walt Disney Company, Backroads, The Clymb and REI. Through roles ranging from President and Chief Brand Officer to General Manager, he has provided inspired leadership to high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.

Luis is a graduate of the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, London. A seasoned digital, ecommerce and travel industry executive, he has sat on the Board of Directors of the non-profits Sustainable Travel International, Young Travel Professionals and the Adventure Cycling Association and is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences around the world, including being the emcee for the annual Adventure Travel World Summit and Adventure ELEVATE. Luis also sits on the Board of several technology startups in the travel space.

He currently leads brand related strategy and marketing across all channels for the Leftlane Sports family of brands which includes Portland based, The Clymb. Luis also leads the Portland business and oversees the global adventure travel vertical and media sales and partnerships across the six brands.
