Mike Adams, W.L. Gore and Associates    

Mike Adams is responsible for the Travel Footwear Category for W. L. Gore and Associates, a company better known as the creator of GORE-TEX® fabric and the category of waterproof/breathable products. In his duties, Adams works with the entire footwear value chain from wholesalers to retailers to consumers identifying new ways to improve the outdoor experience for people on the move.

Travel takes many forms, from general holidays to business to uncharted adventures. Whether a trip includes hanging from a rock face in Moab, Utah to hanging from a strap on the London Underground, the setting is ideal for GORE-TEX® footwear; its travel-appropriate and travel-enabling properties and its ability to keep the focus on the activity not the conditions.

Adams is entering his ninth year with Gore and enjoys the personal and professional travel his position allows. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (focus on Product Development) from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.
