Wright, which is based in Washington, DC.  Chunnie’s passion is serving the legal needs of adventure travel companies to help them build, grow, sustain and protect their businesses.  As an avid adventure traveler who understands and shares the same values as the adventure travel industry, she combines her extensive legal experience and industry insight to create tailor-made legal solutions for her clients.  Chunnie advises her adventure travel clients on a variety of legal issues, including contracts (e.g., waivers of liability, participant agreements, supplier agreements), risk management, international business, corporate formation, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, worldwide intellectual property protection, Internet and e-commerce, and more.

As a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (“ATTA”), Chunnie has presented webinars on important legal issues that affect adventure travel companies and provided numerous legal templates, including a liability waiver and booking terms and conditions, as a valuable ATTA membership benefit.  She also presented a seminar on risk management at the 2011 Adventure Travel World Summit.

Chunnie’s legal experience includes a vice president position at the trade association that represents U.S. videogame publishers, private practice litigation positions at major law firms in the San Francisco Bay Area, federal prosecution as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia under then-U.S. Attorney Eric H. Holder, Jr. and a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Emilio M. A lifelong traveler, Chunnie lived in Italy for three years and has explored nearly 50 countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa.  Some of her most exciting adventures include the Everest Base Camp trek, camel riding at India’s Sam sand dunes, rock climbing in Thailand, close encounters with wildlife in South Africa, scuba diving in Fiji, and trying to surf for the first time in Barbados.
