Take a day trip in the Makedonski Brod area, a place almost not discovered from other travelers. It’s an area boasting pristine forests and some of the most beautiful caves of Macedonia.
We’ll also go caving at “Slatinski Izvor”, a protected natural area, currently on the tentative list of UNESCO world natural heritage sites, because of the rock structure dating back to the precambrian period (more than 4 million years old). Also, the “Peshna” cave opening has the remains of medieval castle built as a defense from the Ottoman invaders in the 14th century by Peshna, one of the sisters of the last Macedonian medieval king of Marko.
