Two Incredible Itineraries in Banff & Lake Louise

AdventureWeek Banff & Lake Louise features two itineraries — Connect and Immerse — both set against the Canadian Rockies, showcasing the area’s diverse and dynamic adventure opportunities.

CONNECT – Banff and Lake Louise is a place to connect with nature and rejuvenate, and it’s accessible by all. Situated in Canada’s first national park, a protected place, you are connected with nature whether you’re walking down the vibrant Banff Avenue, looking up at the snow-capped mountain peaks, or hiking along a ridge with views of protected nature, as far as the eye can see.

Activity Level: Easy active (beginner level, easy physical activity)

  • Activity: 2-5 hours most days
  • Distances: Hike up to 9.6 kilometres (6 miles)
  • Surfaces: flat or rolling terrain with some possible steep sections
  • Elevation change: up to 609m (2,000 ft) a day

The Connect itinerary includes:

  • a mountaintop boardwalk at Sulphur Mountain via the Banff Gondola
  • a dive into history with a tour of the Cave & Basin National Historic Site and a hot spring dip

IMMERSE – For the seasoned adventurer who wants to truly understand the special nature of this place, this itinerary will explore deeper into the 6,000+ square kilometres of Banff National Park. Push yourself to your personal limit with epic experiences you’ll never forget.

Activity Level: Vigorous (must be physically fit; hiking experience preferred)

  • Activity: 5-8 hours most days
  • Distances: Hike up to 19 kilometres (12 miles)
  • Surfaces: mountainous, exposed terrain with steep ascents/descents; uneven trails
  • Elevation change: up to 1,219m (4,000 ft)
  • Previous technical rock climbing or via ferrata experience not required.

The Immerse itinerary will enrich your understanding of the region with a variety of activities:
