South-to-North Alps Traverse: Adventure Style

Famed for its world class rock climbing, mountaineering and skiing, the lands of Trentino, South Tyrol, and Tirol saw the Celts, Romans, Germans, Austrians and Venetians left distinct cultural footprints still present today. This part of the Alps — historically perceived as one region — offer a surprising blend of languages from valley to valley including German, Italian, Mócheno and Cimbrian, plus a colorful fusion of countless dialects, volumes of cultural traditions from the southernmost edge of Trentino through the northernmost border of Tirol, and those emanating from Sud Tyrol located in between.

This 10-day, cross-border journey is sure to inject new understanding of this lesser recognized region of Europe boasting Mediterranean and Alps influences. With an energizing palette of serious adventure activities including mountain e-biking, climbing, hiking, via ferrata, rafting, canyoning, caving, standup paddleboard, sailing and others, this exclusive familiarization tour features peculiar farm and nature-to-table gastronomic and exceptional culinary experiences, an overnight in a high alpine hut – as well as 4 and 5-star accommodations throughout the program, face-to-face time with a world renowned alpineer and local chefs, winemakers and more.

This program offers relatively short transfers, close proximity to major airports, comfortable pacing and incredible organization and support from collaborating hosts – ATTA Members Trentino (Italy), Sud Tyrol (Italy) and Tirol (Austria), as well as their local suppliers, some of which also are ATTA Members.

Organizers seek and expect to host a combined total of twenty buyers and media originating from the U.S., Canada, U.K., France, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
