WEATHER

The weather in Adelaide for the month of October is mild and warm in the height of Spring, with the average high temperatures in the 70s°F/22°C and lows in the 50s°F/11°C. Rainfall is low, however evening can be quite brisk as temperatures drop quickly – it is best to wear layers and bring a light coat.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS - SUNDAY 4 OCTOBER 2020

Daylight Saving begins at 2am, Central Standard TIme, on the first Sunday in October and ends at 3am Central Daylight Saving Time on the first Sunday in April. During this time Adelaide moves to Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT) UTC+10.5.

AUSTRALIAN PUBLIC HOLIDAY - MONDAY 5 OCTOBER 2020

ATTIRE

As with all Adventure Travel World Summit events, the attire is “adventure casual.” This generally means comfortable jeans or trousers with a shirt or fleece, and on occasion you may see a sport jacket or very casual dress. An additional warmer jacket or sweater is recommended.

CONNECTIVITY

The adapter, if needed, for Australia is Type 1 Australia plug. The plugs in Australia have two flat metal pins, forming an inverted ‘V’ shape, and occasionally a third pin in the centre. The electrical current in Australia is 220-240 volts, AC 50Hz.

Free WiFi is readily available in Adelaide City Centre – including the Conference Centre. Please check with your accommodation provider for WiFi options.

CURRENCY

Australia’s national currency is Australian dollars (AUD), which comes in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 notes. Coins come in 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent and one and two dollar denominations.
